We have decided, in agreement with the filmmakers, to postpone the 24th January screening at Flushing Sailing Club of 'From the River' until a later date this year. All complexities considered we have agreed that an open evening for the discussion of all Sailors Creek matters would be best done once the dust has settled.
There are some great plans developing for the creek in 2023 and we really look forward to sharing those with you soon.
In the meantime if anyone has a copy of Shauna Osborne Dowle's film 'The Many Romances With Rosemarie' or 'Remembering Rosemarie' we would love to contact the filmmaker and screen the films at some point this year.
Both films explore the history of a local boat called the Rosemarie which some of you may know of and remember. Most of the boats that end up washed up in creeks like Sailors Creek have a working history and a social history that is really worth exploring.
